This is the third year I am participating in the campaign (my nail is painted blue and I will be nailing it until 31 October). Seeing how it has grown into a movement and the difference it has made for the lives of so many kids is inspiring.

For your commitment to help bring an end to violence against children, I want to reward you!

Earlier this year I was inspired to create a painting of Chris Hemsworth (original work, newspaper and acrylic on stretched canvas, 76 x 76 cm). Chris Hemsworth is ambassador to the Australian Childhood Foundation, one of the organisation supported through Polished Man.

For donations of $30 or more I am offering a limited edition fine art print!

If you’re still unfamiliar with the campaign, I encourage you to jump on the Polished Man website and be sure to check out the heart warming video about Thea, which explains why a polished nail became the catalyst for conversations and in turn donations.

The goal:

To reach a personal fundraising target of $10,000 for organisations supported through the  Polished Man campaign between now and the 31st October 2017.

With your help, the target will be reached by funds donated through both my individual fundraising page and the team “Go Build A Bridge”

Together, let’s do this! I am asking you to do one of the following:

  • Donate $10 to my Polished Man fundraising page. Ask someone you know to do the same.

  •  Donate $30 (or more) directly to my Polished Man fundraising page and I will gift you a limited edition (edition of 300) Chris Hemsworth print. 20 x 20 cm Giclee print on 210 gsm paper (paper size 24 x 24cm). Pick up/ delivery Brisbane, postage other areas.

The statistics are alarming, but each one has the opportunity to do something positive. I am not asking a lot of you – donating $10 could be as simple as giving up two bought coffees in a week.

If you’re keen to also start raising funds there is a great resources section on the Polished Man website, such as templates for  seeking donations through social media etc., as well as helpful fact sheets and FAQs.

When I first felt moved to participate in the campaign a $10,000 target seemed as simple as connecting with 1000 people willing to donate just $10! I’m not so sure that is simple, but wanting to do something and doing is not the same thing, so I’m giving it a go!

Grab your smart phone and take 5 minutes to donate just $10 and reach out to someone you know who would be willing to do the same.

If  you view “The Art Bridge” you will also note I am willing to give significant original artworks for donations. I recognise that $10,000 is a big personal/team target, but with your help and ability to reach others, let’s see how close we can get!

I’m very passionate about this cause and took the time to write two heartfelt posts in 2015 and 2016. Why not take few minutes to read them?
